Why I Write

Through years of counseling, nursing, ministry, and hiking mountain trails across the United States and abroad, I’ve discovered that life’s greatest challenges are often not the mountains before us, but the battles within us.My writing grew out of a desire to encourage others to trust God through fear, uncertainty, exhaustion, grief, and spiritual struggle. Whether on a wilderness trail or in everyday life, God continually reminds us that He is faithful in every step of the journey.Through devotionals, personal stories, and biblical encouragement, my prayer is to help readers find hope, strength, and deeper faith as they learn to walk closely with Him.

Personal Details

Sherri enjoys hiking with her husband of 38 years, Richard, and spending time with their three grown children and precious grandchildren, ranging in age from 2½ to 20. She loves camping, bike riding, and tending both vegetable and flower gardens, where she often finds quiet moments to reflect on God’s faithfulness and creation.
