FEES, INSURANCE, & APPOINTMENTS

 

Fees

The fee for an initial intake assessment for individuals is $160 and then $145 thereafter. In some situations an intern may be assigned at a negotiated fee if after the initial assessment/evaluation, it is determined that he/she has the expertise to meet your needs.

Fees may be paid with cash, check, or credit card and are due at the time of service. Checks should be written to NorthSide Family Counseling Center (NFCC). There will be a $30 fee charged for checks written with insufficient funds.

 

We require a credit/debit card on file to cover insufficient funds, fees associated with failure to cancel an appointment, failure to return books, or failure of insurance payment.

 

Insurance

Several therapists at NFCC are credentialed with select insurance companies. In order to take advantage of your mental health benefits, you will be required to pay the contracted rate for your session at the time of your appointment and for your convenience our office will bill your insurance company for you. You will then be reimbursed by your insurance company minus your copay/deductible.

 

Appointments

Office hours are from 8:00 till 6:00 Monday through Friday, with occasional appointments on Saturday. NFCC’s last appointment for new clients is 4:00 M-F. Later appointments will be offered to existing clients based on need and those who regularly demonstrate punctuality. Appointments are scheduled every hour on the hour and last 50 minutes, therefore there is no need to arrive more than five to ten minutes early unless you have not completed your initial paperwork; however, in order to maintain timely appointments, it is important that you arrive on time. 

NFCC has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Others are waiting for an appointment or a cancellation, so please call and cancel any appointment you cannot make at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a $50 cancellation fee on your credit card and loss of late appointment opportunities. Cancelling an appointment with less than 4 hours notice or failure to cancel at all will result in charging the full appointment fee to your credit card.
